Careers at NewsHBO 24/7
No roles are open right now, but here is how we think about hiring and how to stay in touch.
There are no open roles at NewsHBO 24/7 right now. This is an illustrative launch edition, and the people on our masthead are fictional. We would rather say so plainly than post fake listings to look busy.
Why This Page Exists
A newsroom worth joining tells you honestly where it stands. When real positions exist, they will be listed here with a clear description, a way to apply and a statement of how we handle applications. Until then, there is nothing to apply for.
What We Might Hire For One Day
- Reporters and editors for television, film, streaming and music.
- Critics with a distinctive, fair-minded voice.
- Fact-checkers and copy editors.
- Audio producers for the planned shows.
- Engineers and designers for a fast, accessible site.
What We Look For
Curiosity about how the entertainment business actually works. Clear writing in short paragraphs. A willingness to say "I don't know yet". And an instinct to treat people fairly even when you are criticising their work.
If You Want to Stay in Touch
You can write to [email protected] with a short note about what you do and what you would like to cover. Clicking the address opens your own email app. Because this is a demo, we cannot promise a response, and we do not keep an applicant database.
A Warning About Scams
We will never ask for payment, banking details or identity documents as part of any hiring process. If someone contacts you claiming to hire for NewsHBO 24/7 and asks for money or sensitive data, it is not us.
Independence
NewsHBO 24/7 is independent and has no connection to any studio, network or streaming service. Working here would not provide any link to one.
What a Fair Hiring Process Would Look Like
If positions open, we intend to describe the work honestly, say whether it is paid, explain each stage in advance, and tell every applicant the outcome. We would ask for samples of your work rather than unpaid assignments, and we would not require you to hand over personal documents before an offer. Treating candidates well is part of the same code that governs our reporting.
