Nancy Guthrie investigators did not make any arrests during two dramatic raids in Tucson Friday night, it has been claimed.
A law enforcement source told CNN that no-one was taken into custody during a SWAT raid on a home and an FBI traffic stop on a gray Range Rover sport.
One man was questioned but subsequently released, CNN said, after investigators decided he was not Nancy’s abductor.
Fox News had earlier reported that three people were detained at the house, with one detained during the traffic stop.
It is unclear if the people apprehended were briefly detained by investigators before being released.
The Daily Mail has contacted Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI for more information.
NBC affiliate KVOA shared an unconfirmed report of a neighbor seeing one person shoot themselves in the head during the SWAT raid of the Tucson home, but there was no further information about that alleged incident.
The Friday night raids were the most dramatic so far in the hunt for Nancy, the 84-year-old mother of NBC Today anchor Savannah, who was last seen on the evening of January 1.

Around the same time as the raid on the house, a silver Range Rover was pulled over in Tucson by the FBI. The contents of its trunk was examined – but no arrests were made

Nancy was last seen on the evening of January 31 and reported missing by her church friends the next day
A huge team of armed SWAT officers were filmed descending on the Tucson home, around two miles away from where Nancy lives.
Around the same time, the driver of the silver Range Rover was pulled over.
FBI agents were filmed investigating the contents of the car’s trunk, which had been obscured from photographers’ view with a sheet.
The SUV was later towed away. No further detail has been shared on why the house and car was targeted.
Pima County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement late Friday saying the raid on the house was linked to the disappearance of Guthrie.
They said they would issue more information in the early hours of Saturday morning, then said they had been asked not to do so by the FBI.
Saturday’s update appears to mark the latest frustrating obstacle in the hunt for Guthrie.
On Tuesday evening Tucson man Carlos Palazeulos was held by cops in connection with the abduction.
The Range Rover stopped near a Culver’s fast food joint was towed away. Neither the FBI nor Pima County Sheriff’s Office have released any further details

He was later released without charge after investigators deemed him unconnected to the disappearance.
Palazuelos said he was in the car with his wife, who was driving, when they were pulled over and he was told he was being detained for Nancy’s abduction.
He said he may have delivered a package to Nancy’s house but added that he had never kidnapped her.
Investigators later decided Palazuelos was telling the truth and freed him.
On Wednesday, the FBI released horrifying footage of a figure in a ski mask and nitrile gloves appearing at Nancy’s doorstep on the evening of her abduction.
The person, believed to be a man, was seen looking at Nancy’s Nest doorbell camera lens then pulling up a handful of flowers in a bid to cover its lens.
Nancy did not have a subscription for the Nest camera, meaning investigators had to ask Nest owner Google to dig deep into its servers to find the footage.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has come under fire for his handling of Nancy’s disappearance.

He is yet to name a suspect amid growing concerns investigators are no nearer to finding Nancy or her kidnappers.
On Friday, Nanos revealed that Savannah Guthrie texted him that she has ‘her own people’ and no longer requires his help.
A series of ransom notes demanding up to $6 million for Nancy’s release have been sent to news outlets but have not been verified.
One had two deadlines – for last Thursday and last Monday – which passed without any kind of update.
On Friday, investigators discovered that DNA found on Nancy’s property during the investigation did not belong to her family or anyone ‘close’ to her.
‘DNA other than Nancy Guthrie’s and those in close contact to her have been collected from the property,’ the sheriff’s department said, adding that investigators are working to identify who it belongs to and are not disclosing where it was found.
