22-Year-Old Mother Killed After Being Followed Home From Bar In South Carolina
A night out ended in tragedy in Lexington County, South Carolina, after a 22-year-old woman was killed in a violent attack inside her own home.
According to investigators, Gabrielle Marie Cribb, 22, was found with multiple stab wounds after deputies responded to a home in the Gaston area around 3:20 a.m. Friday.
She was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery, but later died from her injuries.
Authorities say 35-year-old Constance Michelle Lever has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. She is currently being held without bond.
Witnesses told investigators the victim had been at a bar earlier that night and left after an argument. Hours later, the suspect allegedly went to the home, grabbed a knife from inside, and carried out the attack.
There are also allegations that threats had been made prior to the killing.
The case has shaken the small town of Gaston, South Carolina, leaving many asking how a situation escalated to this level.
The investigation is ongoing.
