Those indirectly involved — peripheral people who prompt the average person to scrunch up their nose and say, “Who?” — are emerging to chime in with their opinions

In recent months, reports of a growing rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, have been making the rounds.

The rumours, however, began long before that, with much of the speculation centring on Brooklyn’s relationship to now-wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.
But it appears that after months/years, something had to give and it was Brooklyn who could no longer keep it all in, unleashing a scathing series of Instagram stories in which he called out his parents for “trying endlessly to ruin” their relationship, even before their wedding in 2022.
Since Brooklyn dropped the detailed bomb, those directly involved (his parents, his wife and his siblings, Cruz, Romeo and Harper) have not uttered a peep — at least as far as an official statement goes.
Meanwhile, those indirectly involved — peripheral people who prompt the average person to scrunch up their nose and say, “Who?” — are emerging to chime in with their opinions.
Our cynical side has me wondering if any of the Beckhams are urging those in the know to publicly support them, or if the supporters simply want a share of the spotlight.

Either way, some have gotten our attention.

The alleged mistress
David’s former assistant Rebecca Loos, who allegedly had an affair with the football star, reacted to Brooklyn’s story in a series of comments on one of her own Instagram posts.
A follower alerted Loos to Brooklyn’s statement, noting, “I know you are wonderful and happy and don’t need validation but I think you will feel a source of extra validation. Especially the end about the dogs.”
Loos, who has since closed the comments section, responded, “So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!! I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!”
The former Dutch model-turned-yoga instructor replied to another commenter: “The truth always comes out.”

Loos, who worked as David’s assistant in 2003, previously alleged that they were involved for four months during his marriage to Victoria — a claim she has maintained.
Last year, Loos said in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia that she has “never exaggerated” and “never lied” about the affair.

The wedding DJ
In Brooklyn’s post, he revealed he has “never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated” in his entire life after his mother “danced very inappropriately on” her son during what was supposed to be his and Nicola’s first dance.
His wedding DJ, Fat Tony, shared a video on Instagram with the text: “POV: Victoria Beckham during Brookyn’s first dance…”
The footage, however, features Lucy Punch’s Motherland character dancing wildly in front of her school mum friends.
Tony’s partner, Stavros Agapiou, chimed in, writing in a now-deleted Instagram comment: “I was there and she did he’s telling the truth.”
He replaced it with, “Good on him for finally speaking out!”
The ride-or-die
Meanwhile, Victoria broke her social media silence by wishing fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton a happy birthday.
Bunton responded with a video of them, Mel C. and Geri Halliwell dancing, adding the caption: “We love it when you dance, Victoria.”
