Ukrainian blogger Yeva Mishalova recently posted a number of destabilizing messages on social media after Indonesian authorities confirmed that body parts found in Bali belonged to her boyfriend, Igor Komarov, who went missing after a shocking kidnapping in Bali. He is believed to be the son of Sergei Komarov, a prominent figure in the criminal underworld of Kramatorsk, Ukraine.
In an Instagram story on March 6, Mishalova shared a photo of herself and Komarov together during their trip to Bali, along with the message: “I knew you would see this. My life. I love you,” according to the Ukrainian news site UNN .
Later, the blogger posted a video of herself speaking and sobbing in front of the camera. She said, “I’ll come back when I’m strong enough.”
In another post, Mishalova thanked those who had sent her messages of encouragement and sympathy during this time. She said the most important thing right now is hoping Komarov understands her feelings.
“I’m sure Komarov saw the story earlier and knows I love him. Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and condolences. Thank you all for writing and showing your sympathy,” the blogger expressed.

Mishalova said that for the past few days, she had been constantly messaging Komarov on Telegram, hoping her boyfriend would see it.
On March 8th, she posted a photo of herself receiving flowers along with the caption: “He knows he can’t let me go without flowers on March 8th.”
Before Komarov was kidnapped and murdered, he was on vacation in Bali, Indonesia, with Mishalova. On February 14th, the blogger posted a photo of the two of them with the caption: “14 February, love you everyday.”
Some online opinions suggest that the post, which included this location, may have inadvertently revealed the couple’s location to the kidnappers. However, there has been no official confirmation from the investigating authorities regarding this suspicion.
Mishalova has not yet deleted the photo from her personal page. In the days following Komarov’s disappearance, she continued to post some content from Bali.
On February 20th, approximately five days after Komarov was allegedly kidnapped, Mishalova posted a promotional video for skincare products, along with another video of herself dancing at Savaya, a popular beach club in Bali, according to News.com.au. She has since disabled comments on her personal page and has not responded to media inquiries.
According to the Bali police investigation, Igor Komarov was abducted on February 15 while riding his motorcycle in the Jimbaran area of Badung district, Bali. Witnesses and investigative data indicate that the abduction was carried out by multiple people using various means of transportation. Investigators believe this was a well-organized operation.
In connection with the case, Indonesian police have identified up to seven suspects, including one foreigner with the initials CH and six others with the initials RM, BK, AS, VN, SM, and DH. All are currently on Indonesia’s wanted list, and police have also issued an Interpol red notice to coordinate the search internationally.
‘The Anxious Generation’
According to social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, children and teenagers today face a type of pressure unknown to previous generations: the pressure of likes, comments, and endless comparisons on social media. This creates a toxic cycle where self-esteem is tied to virtual numbers instead of real-world value.
