TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Court documents filed earlier this week have revealed more information surrounding the investigation into the deaths of USF students Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy.
A body found on April 26 just south of the Howard Frankland Bridge, where Limon’s remains were found days earlier, was clothed in similar attire to what Bristy was wearing when she was last seen on surveillance video, according to an affidavit filed Tuesday.

Detectives said the body was found inside a black trash bag, and the victim appeared to have suffered multiple stab wounds, “consistent with the manner of death of Zamil Limon.”
The body, which was in “advanced stages of decomposition,” was taken to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office to be examined by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office. As of this report, authorities have not confirmed whether the remains are Bristy’s.

Documents said Bristy was leaving her office building when she was last seen on surveillance video on April 16. She was wearing a light pink long sleeve shirt, long black loose pants, and sneakers with white bottoms.
The search for the two missing international students stretched over a week until, on April 24, investigators found Limon’s body on the side of the Howard Frankland Bridge. Hours later, authorities got into a standoff with Limon’s roommate Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, and he was taken into custody.

Abugharbieh has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in relation to the disappearances of the two USF students.
According to court documents, Abugharbieh is believed to have dumped personal items belonging to the two students in a trash compactor. Investigators said they found “blood evidence” on the items demonstrating the “presence of both Nahida Bristy and Zamil Limon.”
Multiple remembrance ceremonies have been planned in honor of Limon and Bristy, with several USF students expressing their heartbreak for the two victims and their families.
