Family Speaks Out: Elena Moore’s loved ones share an unexpected message after aut0psy findings leave her d3ath unexplained
FRIENDS of a personal trainer whose body was found following a six-day search have shared a cryptic message about her death after her autopsy gave no answers.
Elena Moore, 39, was last seen leaving a Planet Fitness on June 11 and was found nearly a week later, but officials have not yet determined a cause of death.

Moore was last spotted checking in to a Planet Fitness in Lexington, South Carolina, just before 7pm on June 11.
Hours later she was captured on surveillance cameras walking across a nearby parking lot of a Publix at 9:17pm.
The trainer was then last seen heading toward a wooded area behind a Lowe’s, dressed in an olive-green hoodie and black pants.
She was reported missing by her husband, Brannon Slice, on June 12, and was discovered in a wooded area about half a mile from the Publix on Wednesday.
Since Moore vanished, people claiming to be close friends with her have spoken to the media, raising concerns about her behavior in the lead-up to the disappearance.
Yet a new post, seemingly made on behalf of the family, has hinted that they have their own story to tell.
Lee Snell, a close friend, shared a statement on Sunday saying those close to Moore “are all deeply saddened and distressed.”
Snell said her husband officiated Slice and Moore’s wedding in 2024.
She tagged family members, including the couple, in the statement shared on Facebook.
“The details surrounding the situation are forthcoming. Please respect Brannon’s privacy at this time,” she wrote.
“Elena has a story and Brannon wants to share it when the time is appropriate to do so in hopes of helping others.”
Snell also called for one of Moore’s friends, Sondra Rachelle Campbell, to “cease and desist from contacting Brannon or news outlets with her ‘stories.’”
Campbell has spoken with several media outlets detailing her last conversation with Moore and sharing her suspicions of foul play.
“I think my friend was struggling for her life. I think she was literally afraid for her life,” she told NewsNation.
Campbell said she believed there were some “red flags,” claiming Moore and Slice were having marital problems.
“There has been issues, they were trying to separate,” she claimed.
Investigators said on June 16, the day before Moore was found, that they did not suspect foul play and said Slice was “not a person of interest at the current moment.”

The autopsy report further confirmed no evidence of traumatic injury, as the Lexington County Coroner’s Office said on Monday there were no signs of bruising, lacerations, strangulation, blunt force trauma, gunshot wounds, stab wounds or other external injuries.
“Additional evaluation is required, including histological studies, review of medical records, and toxicology testing,” the coroner’s office said in a statement.
Campbell, who has been friends with Moore for ten years, told Fox News that when she last saw Moore on May 31 it felt “very different.”
“She was scared for her life. She actually said those words to me,” she said.
Campbell said when she asked her friend what was wrong, she wanted to discuss it privately, insisting they needed to chat one-on-one.
“I can’t talk to you right now. There’s too many people around,” Campbell recalled Moore saying.
The friend said she missed a call from Moore on June 4 and tried calling and texting back but never received a response.
Authorities discovered the body of a woman with a matching clothing description to Moore as they searched an area near the Fourteen Mile Creek Trail by Old Cherokee Road and North Lake Drive when following up on a tip.
Moore’s body was found underneath a concrete bridge on Wednesday and was positively identified on Friday by the Lexington County Corner’s Office.
A week before she disappeared, she was captured in a Ring camera video obtained by The U.S. Sun allegedly pretending to be a DoorDash driver.
The apartment resident, Sarah Burleson, said Moore was acting bizarrely outside of her apartment and that she tried entering her apartment, appearing “confused.”

In the video, Moore could be seen taking the delivery order from the DoorDash delivery woman before delivering the food herself moments later.
“Something seemed very off and I really hope she turns up safe and sound,” Burleson said.
“For the past week we thought it was a crazy DoorDash experience.”
Moore’s case had been under investigation by the state’s largest crime unit, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and a cause and manner of death are expected to be released after the coroner’s office conducts further studies.
