The mother of a 2-year-old missing Alabama girl is asking for her $1 million cash bond to be reduced.
Adrienne Reid, 33, is charged with providing false information to law enforcement officers in the disappearance of Genesis Nova Reid.

Reid reported the child missing at 3:10 a.m. that Monday, telling investigators she went to check on the child and discovered she was not in the family’s Enterprise home and that the door to the home was found open.
As the investigation progressed, detectives conducted multiple interviews and determined the child had not been seen in several weeks.
Reid has been held in the Coffee County Jail since her arrest on Feb. 17.
Reid has now hired Ozark attorney David J. Harrison, who earlier today filed a motion to reduce her bond.
Harrison did not respond to a request for comment, but his motion states the $1 million cash bond is excessive. His client, he wrote, is not a flight risk or a danger to the community.
Coffee County District Judge Josh Wilson, who set Reid’s bond, has scheduled a hearing on the issue for April 20.
District Attorney James Tarbox last week said the judge set the bond amount after hearing testimony from an Enterprise police detective regarding the facts and circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Genesis.
Based on the testimony, the prosecution argued that Reid is the only known suspect in the disappearance of the child, Tarbox said.
“Adrienne Reid has hidden or destroyed evidence relative to the case,” Tarbox said, “and Adrienne Reid is a flight risk should be released from custody.”

The standard bond schedule for a Class C felony in Alabama ranges from $2,500 to $15,000.
“There is no mechanism to hold Adrienne Reid without bond in this matter,” he said. “She is entitled to bond under the Constitution of the Unites State and the state of Alabama.”
Tarbox said he argued that the standard bond amounts in this case were “wholly unreasonable” and asked the judge to impose a $1 million cash bond.
Prosecutors also asked that should Reid be released on bond, that she be subjected to GPS monitor and drug testing, that she be required to check in daily at the Enterprise Police Department and that she be prohibited from leaving Coffee County.
Asked if the high bond amount was indicative of Reid being responsible for the disappearance or possible death of her daughter, Tarbox said, “It’s too early to speculate. Our current goal is…to bring Genesis home to her family.”
“The $1 million cash bond is high, but right now, as mentioned,” he said, “Adrienne Reid is the only person who knows where Genesis Reid is, and so we wanted to ensure that we know where she (Reid) is.”
“I can’t get into why, but we do believe that if she were able to post bond, that she is a flight risk,” Tarbox said.
Multiple agencies are assisting Enterprise police in the search for Genesis including the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, and the U.S. Marshals.
Enterprise have not released any updates on the case since last week and did not return calls seeking comment on Tuesday.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Genesis Reid is asked to contact the Enterprise Police Department at 334-347-2222.
