A 16-year-old from Newcastle is being remembered as a “beautiful girl” after she died in a quad bike crash in Tasmania last weekend.
Adasyn Wood Savin was in Roseberry in the state’s north-west when the quad bike she was riding collided with a ute on the Murchison Highway on Saturday.
Despite receiving assistance from police and passing tourists, Savin and a 38-year-old man died at the scene.

The 40-year-old man who was driving the ute was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing.
Savin was travelling in Tasmania from New South Wales for the school holidays.
“She was having fun, spending time with friends, and making memories the way any 16-year-old should,” Ella Mackrell, who created a GoFundMe to raise money for the teen’s family, said.
