Live stream: FBI releases surveillance footage of masked suspect who vandalized Nancy Guthrie’s

Photo release: FBI Director Kash Patel has released doorbell images showing “an armed individual” outside Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance. The person appears “to have tampered with the camera,” he wrote on social media.

• A public plea: Authorities believe Guthrie, who was last seen January 31, was taken from her Arizona home against her will. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, posted another video yesterday saying family members believe the 84-year-old is “still out there.”

• Purported deadline passes: Guthrie’s possible abductors demanded $6 million by 5 p.m. yesterday, CNN affiliate KGUN reported, citing a note sent to the station. The note included a threat to Guthrie’s life, KGUN said. The FBI said it was not aware of any communication between the Guthrie family and suspected kidnappers.FBI releases images from camera at Nancy Guthrie’s house

The FBI has released new images from a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s house, showing a person who appears to be wearing a mask.

The images show “an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” according to a post on FBI Director Kash Patel’s X account, which shared the images moments ago.

“Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems,” Patel wrote in the post.

FBI expected to release image from camera at Nancy Guthrie’s house

The FBI will soon release a new image from a camera at Nancy Guthrie’s house, a source familiar with the investigation tells CNN’s Jake Tapper.

The image shows a person who appears to be wearing a mask and carrying a backpack or tools, NBC News reported.

The person is considered a “subject” in the investigation, NBC News said, and the bureau hopes assistance from the public can help gather more information about this individual. The image is not clear, according to NBC.

The FBI did not immediately comment on the report. Guthrie has been missing since February 1. Her family, including “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, has released multiple online videos begging for her release.Authorities continue search at Guthrie residences

Authorities looking into the presumed kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie plan to continue investigating at her home and that of her daughter Annie’s nearby, according to the FBI.

“Many of you observed an active law enforcement presence at the Guthrie residences over the weekend,” the FBI said in a release yesterday. That activity is expected to continue today “as part of the ongoing investigative process, including the expansion of the search and follow-up on new leads,” the FBI said.

Over the weekend, investigators were seen at Nancy and Annie’s homes.

“This is all part of the investigative process, as the search for Nancy expands and new leads come in,” the FBI said.

Context: Nancy Guthrie was at Annie’s home the night before her disappearance, according to investigators. After dinner, family members dropped the elder Guthrie back at her home, authorities said.
