Mitt Romney’s sister-in-law left a note before plunging to her death from a California parking garage, according to a report.

Carrie Elizabeth Romney, 64, died after falling “backwards from a seated position” from the roof of a five-story garage near a Santa Clarita apartment complex, the Daily Mail reported.

The outlet said surveillance footage saw Romney pacing on the rooftop garage for an “extended period of time,” and a note was found in her car.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled her death a suicide caused by blunt-force injuries.

A toxicology test showed she was positive for the drug benzodiazepine alprazolam, according to the Daily Mail.

Carrie was married to the former presidential candidate’s older brother George Scott Romney, 81, but the two had been going through an ugly divorce in the months before her death.

When they filed for divorce, they listed “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of their split after eight years of marriage.

Each tried to block the other from receiving any assets during the process, according to court documents.
