Royal experts: “A deafening silence from William and Kate”

For a family that invented stiff upper lips, this is the most passive-aggressive chapter yet.
While King Charles is openly pushing for a big, happy family reunion at Buckingham Palace — or at least at Highgrove — the response from Kensington Palace has been exactly what royal correspondents have started calling it:
A deafening silence.
The Two Very Different Agendas
On one side, you have Charles.
The King, now 76 and according to palace sources keenly aware of time, has made reconciliation his mission. After losing his long-running security battle, Harry said in May last year “I would love a reconciliation with my family.” Charles listened.
On Friday, Buckingham Palace confirmed it: King Charles III hosted Prince Harry and met with his family for the first time in years, with Harry, Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, meeting the King and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House.
Charles was even reportedly considering offering Harry a room at Buckingham Palace for his next UK visit.
On the other side, you have William.
Royal author Robert Jobson told Page Six that William and Harry have “different agendas” and distinct relationships with their father. Several royal commentators told Fox News Digital that Charles appears interested in reconciliation, while William remains reluctant to restore contact.

Prince Harry is set to meet his father King Charles for the first time in 20 months when he returns to the UK, but his brother Prince William has rejected any reconciliation, according to OK! Magazine.
The language from inside Kensington Palace is blunt.
According to experts, Harry may be making headway with his father, but he may never be able to reconcile with his brother. As royal biographer Hugo Vickers told The Sun: “So as for William. It’s much more difficult because the barbs were sent in his direction from Prince Harry, but very much directed towards Catherine.”
That is why William and Kate feared private talks with Harry would be leaked, why they didn’t talk after Prince Philip’s funeral, and why every olive branch now ends in what insiders call “a justifiable fear that anything they say could appear in a future book.”
One royal commentator put it perfectly this week:
“At this point, Harry’s resentment towards William seems less about the Sussexes’ actual exit in 2020 and more about what came after: the silence, the distance, and the sense that the family iced them out because they dared to speak up.”

Charles: “One must forgive and move on”
The King’s position has been consistent. He is the father first. Palace sources say he wants to see his grandchildren, wants the feud to end before it becomes permanent.
The Waleses’ position has also been consistent.
As Tom Quinn told the Daily Express US, palace insiders informed him that the feud between the two couples “is never really going to be healed.”
For William, the wounds are personal because they involve Kate. The barbs weren’t just about him — they were about his wife. And for Kate, who according to one source is focusing on “baby steps” after everything she went through last year, the wall of silence can only go on for so long — but it is still a wall.
So we have the most British family feud ever:
Charles: “We must all come together at Buckingham Palace as a family.”
William: Seen at 14:32. No reply.
Until Harry and Meghan apologize, royal sources say, there will be no reunion with William and Kate. And there is no indication that is possible.
One house wants forgiveness. The other wants an apology. And in the middle, two brothers who used to share everything now share only a last name.
