Two years ago, his teacher wife McKenna Kindred committed the most awful betrayal imaginable with a 17-year-old schoolboy in their marital bed.
But Kyle McKindred has stuck by his wife despite her admitting to having an affair with the student under his nose while he was out of town on hunting trips.
McKenna, 27, admitted to sneaking the boy into the apartment she shared with her husband in Spokane, Washington, and pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual misconduct and inappropriate communication with a minor in March 2024.
She was spared jail but forced to register as a sex offender for ten years, and complete a year of probation and a two-year suspended sentence.

Instead of divorcing his wife for her ultimate betrayal, Kyle stuck by McKenna since her arrest in April 2023 and they still live together as a married couple.
Court documents showed the couple were living in an apartment in Liberty Lake, outside Spokane, a 13-minute drive from her job at Central Valley High School.
By the time McKenna was sentenced, her home was listed as that of Kyle’s parents, Jason and Karri, in Mica – a rural village in the hills south of Spokane.
The couple appear to have stayed at the $1 million property until they moved to Idaho, where they jointly bought a house of their own for $498,000 in June 2024.

The newly built four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,636sqft house in Kuna is in an extremely quiet development far from anything, but within commuting distance of Boise.
Kyle started as an associate real estate lawyer at Holland & Hart on the main street of Boise in August 2024.
‘Kyle provides legal insight on complex real estate transactions, including due diligence, compliance, and research,’ his bio read.
‘He assists clients in the acquisition, sale, financing, and development of large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, and agricultural real property developments.’
Kyle also calls himself an ‘avid outdoorsman, fly fisherman, college basketball fanatic’. He was previously an intern at a law firm in Spokane.
He appears to have maintained a good relationship with his in-laws, as he congratulated McKenna’s father, Doug Chatterton, on his new job last year.
McKenna’s move to Idaho created some drama with the state’s Professional Standards Commission over her teaching license.

The commission opened and an investigation into her after it ‘received an allegation of unethical conduct’.
‘Allegations were made that Ms Kindred surrendered her Washington educator certification and pled guilty [to the charges],’ it wrote.
McKenna voluntarily gave up her license in response, preventing any further action by the commission, according to a document she signed on August 31, 2024.
Whether the investigation was in response to McKenna trying to start teaching in Idaho or just a preventative measure by the state is unclear.
It is unknown if McKenna is working any job since she was forced to resign from Central Valley High School.
Kyle and McKenna’s mother, Melanie Chatterton, both refused to comment when contacted by the Daily Mail.
McKenna openly sobbed in court as she apologized to the victim, Elijhah Beckley, and his family for her crimes. She said she was ‘deeply ashamed’ of what she had done.
Although the age of consent in Washington State is 16, adults can be charged if they have sex with children in their care, up to the age of 18.

‘I am truly sorry for my actions,’ McKenna said. ‘I know that this past year has been enormously stressful for all involved.
‘As a result of my actions I’ve lost my career, valuable friendships, freedoms and have let down countless people who placed their trust in me.
‘My mental health has also been severely affected by this event. I am deeply ashamed of the pain I have caused.’
Family members of the victim could be seen wiping away tears during the hearing.
Court documents detailed how Beckley came to her home and had sex while Kyle was out of town.
Classmates of the teen came forward to tell school officials he was inappropriately messaging Kindred on Instagram and became defensive when questioned about the relationship.
Some of the messages McKenna sent included: ‘I want you in my room’, ‘when other girls talk about you in class, I was going crazy’, and ‘I want you to touch me everywhere’.
McKenna also reported to administrators that she was being harassed by someone on social media, accusing her of a sexual relationship with a student that she denied.

Detectives never found any photos ‘that appeared overtly sexual in nature’ but there were messages referencing masturbation.
Beckley, who was interviewed by police at his home, admitted he started messaging McKenna in June 2022.
He also admitted to police that he went to her house where they had sex, and to sharing explicit pictures and videos with her.
McKenna was immediately placed on administrative leave after her arrest and later resigned.
Beckley’s mother, Ashley, read an impact statement in court explaining how her son’s life had been irreparably harmed by what happened.
She said Kindred’s actions were an ‘abuse of power’ and that she started to ‘groom’ him when he was 16, and claimed they shared explicit photos.
‘A light he used to carry has been dimmed,’ she said.
