NEW POLICE ACTIVITY AT NANCY AND ANNIE GUTHRIE’S HOMES

Crime scene tape has gone back up at the Nancy Guthrie‘s Tucson home. The FBI, Border Patrol agents, police dogs as well as numerous sheriffs officers have shown back up at the house. The Pima County sheriff claims this is regarding a follow up investigation.

There is a grid search going on in a wooded area near Nancy’s home as well as investigators present in her garage.

It is also being reported this evening police investigators were removing items from Annie Guthrie’s home as well. Reporters say additional law enforcement officers are gathered at the back of her home as well.

Annie Guthrie was seen leaving the house with investigators carrying a large Coach tote bag, wearing dark  sunglasses and clothing.

Hostage negotiators descended on Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona home on Wednesday as the investigation into the 84-year-old’s abduction continued for a fourth consecutive day.

The Daily Mail revealed how Nancy, 84, was abducted from her $1 million home late Saturday or early Sunday, according to police.

Authorities confirmed they believe she is still alive despite having no suspects identified on Wednesday.

‘We have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here,’ Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said in a new interview with NBC’s Liz Kreutz. ‘She’s present. She’s alive, and we want to save her.’

Later on Wednesday, the Today Show host asked her mother’s captors to provide proof that she is a live in a heartbreaking plea on Instagram.

Hostage negotiators descended on Nancy Guthrie’s $1 million Tucson, Arizona home on Wednesday hours before Savannah Guthrie shared a heartbreaking plea to her mother’s captors.

In an Instagram post, The Today Show anchor described her mother in glowing terms alongside her siblings as she asked the captors for proof that her mother is alive.

Guthrie – surrounded by her sister Annie and brother Camron – then said to the potential kidnappers that ‘we are ready to talk’ but wanted proof that they weren’t potentially using fraudulent images of her.

‘We live in a world where voices and images and images are easily manipulated. We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you and we are ready to listen. Please, reach out to us,’ she said, holding back tears.

Savannah also thanked everyone who offered prayers and support before detailing her ‘beloved mom’ Nancy’s state.

‘She is 84 years old. Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without medicine, she needs it to survive. We too have heard the reports about a ransom letter in the media. As a family, we are doing everything that we can,’ she said.

Sheriff offers $2,500 reward for information

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

‘Any video and photography information is strongly requested for evaluation and analysis of evidentiary value,’ the department said.

Officials established a tip line and an evidence submission portal for people to submit information that may be helpful.

Family may be trying to ‘establish a line of communication’

The Guthrie family may be trying to ‘establish a line of communication’ with their mother’s captors with the video statement posted to Savannah’s social media page Wednesday night, former deputy director of the FBI Andrew McCabe said on CNN.

He then suggested the video might indicate that the ransom letters TMZ and a local news station received are not legitimate.

‘I feel like this is a fairly strong signal that they do not believe that they’ve had a legitimate ransom demand yet,’ McCabe said.

‘This, to me, reads like an effort to establish a line of communication.’
