Colt Johnson’s attempts to rejoin the 90 Day Fiancé franchise have once again been thwarted by an injury, leaving the TLC production team in a state of frustration. According to a recent post by blogger Shabooty, Colt tried to make his comeback in a new spin-off show called 90 Day Fiancé House, filmed in Mexico last summer. Unfortunately, Colt’s involvement was cut short when he injured his weak leg and had to cease filming before the season concluded.

The root of Colt’s leg issues dates back to a trampoline accident during the first season of 90 Day: The Last Resort. This accident was severe, leading to multiple surgeries and over a year of rehabilitation and pain medications before Colt could walk normally again. Due to the severity of his injury, Colt was unable to finish filming for The Last Resort, resulting in his layoff from the show. It appears history has repeated itself with this new spin-off.

Colt Johnson, despite being a controversial figure, has a name that can draw ratings for any 90 Day Fiancé show. However, his recurring injuries during filming pose significant challenges for the production process, making TLC wary of casting him again. The repeated disruptions caused by his health issues complicate the filming schedule leading to concerns about the feasibility of including him in future projects.

Vanessa Guerra, Colt’s estranged wife, has taken a firm stance against participating in any more TLC reality shows. She learned a harsh lesson from Colt’s first injury, which is that the reality  TV network prioritization money and ratings over the mental and physical well-being of their cast members. Vanessa has vowed never to return to the 90 Day Fiance franchise and criticized TLC for their apparent disregard for the health of their stars, the money-makers.
