TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Authorities have arrested the husband of a Lenawee County woman who reportedly went overboard during a trip to the Bahamas with her husband, ABC News reports.
Brian Hooker reported his wife, Lynette Hooker, missing on Sunday morning. He told authorities she fell overboard with the boat key during poor weather as the couple was traveling in a dinghy while heading to their yacht.

Brian Hooker was arrested Wednesday night, ABC News reports.
Police did not provide further details, including whether or not he was charged.
Brian Hooker released his first public comments since the incident unfolded, saying he is heartbroken and focused on searching for his wife.
Lynette’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, released a statement to 13 Action News on Tuesday calling for a thorough investigation.
“If this truly was an accident, I can understand and live with it,” Aylesworth wrote in a statement to 13 Action News. “However, there needs to be an intensive review of the facts and circumstances of this tragic incident before that can be determined.”

Aylesworth also wrote that she has “been privy to very little information.” She called on federal, state, and local authorities to also investigate, as she wrote: “There have been prior issues brought to my attention, which may be important for any thorough investigation.”
In an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Karli recounted hearing what happened from her stepfather.
“I was just sitting there in shock because I couldn’t imagine this actually happening to her,” Aylesworth said. “He said that my mom’s missing and that she fell out of the boat and that he threw a life jacket to her or something, and he doesn’t know if she got it or not, but then he paddled the shore and then he called for help.”

The couple documents their travels on social media, with posts as recently as the weekend she was reported missing.
“I just hope we find her. I don’t wanna go forever just not ever finding her again. I don’t feel like I’d get the closure I would need,” Aylesworth said.
An extended interview with Lynette’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, shown is shown below. Note: The audio of the questions asked is not included in the recording.
