In the early hours of January 6th, a 17-year-old high school student left her home in Fishers, Indiana, and has not been seen since. Hailey Buzbee, who is in her junior year at Hamilton Southeastern High School, disappeared from the Enclave at Vermillion neighborhood near 101st Street and Flat Fork Creek Park. She was last seen by her parents around 10 p.m. on January 5th. They believe she left sometime during the overnight hours because by morning she was gone.

Some details about how Hailey left have raised questions because she does not drive, and family members have said she left without many of the belongings she would normally take. Her phone last pinged at the family’s residence, though it has not been recovered, leaving investigators to believe she may have brought it with her. For now all they can do is focus on her digital activity, including social media and messaging apps.

According to family and police, Hailey was wearing a white blouse, gray jeans, and a black puffer jacket, and she was carrying a pink Vera Bradley duffle bag when she left.

The Fishers Police Department has listed Hailey as a runaway, and since she was reported missing, community members have distributed thousands of flyers while her story continues to circulate widely across social media as volunteers work to keep attention on her disappearance.
Anyone with information about Hailey’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Fishers Police Department.
