VISUAL EVIDENCE B0MBSHELL: Despite denying the at/tack, the Hawaii doctor is now facing sh0cking comparison photos that seem to capture everything

A Maui doctor on trial for attempted murder denied trying to kill his wife as prosecutors showed graphic photos and pressed him on motive.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Maui doctor on trial for attempted murder said during cross-examination that he did not try to kill his wife, as prosecutors showed graphic photos and asked intimate details about their lives.

Jurors saw a series of side-by-side photos of Arielle Konig’s bloody head, injuries on her face and hand, wearing a neck brace, and bandages on her head.

Testimony about the incident

Prosecutor Joel Garner questioned Gerhardt Konig about his testimony that Arielle took a rock and hit him in the face.

“You said the first hit, she got me kinda good, right,” said Garner.

“That’s right,” said Konig.

Konig said she kept trying and that he started blocking it. He said she got a couple more hits in but that he did not know how many more hits.

Gerhardt Konig said he struck Arielle with a rock in self-defense. He said Arielle pulled him to the ground during an argument, grabbed his testicles, and she hit him first with the rock.

He maintained he never tried to kill her at the Pali Puka Trail last March.

“It was a surprise because you still had a chance to go through with your plan to push Arielle off the cliff, isn’t that right,” said Garner.

“That is not true at all,” said Konig.

Prosecutors outline motive

Prosecutors said Konig confronted Arielle about an affair with a married coworker, that he wanted her to quit her job as a nuclear engineer and leave their Kahului home, and that he demanded sex every other day.

“Arielle was unwilling to move out of the house away from her children, correct,” said Garner.

“Yes,” said Konig.

“Arielle was unwilling to have sex with you whenever you demanded it, isn’t that right,” said Garner.

“I never demanded sex, so that’s not right,” said Konig.

“After you call a woman a lying b*tch and a wh**e, it makes sense that they don’t want to have sex with you, right,” said Garner.

Defense attorney Thomas Otake objected and Judge Paul Wong sustained.

Konig said he was upset about the affair, but not mad.

Prosecutors also asked Konig about their finances, alimony from his previous marriage, and his internet searches.

Closing arguments are scheduled for Tuesday.
