The woman accused of firing shots into the Beverly Hills home of Rihanna is a licensed speech pathologist who appears to have made cryptic social media posts about the singer.

Ivanna Ortiz, 35, is being held in Los Angeles County jail in connection with the shooting on suspicion of attempted murder. Her bail was set at more than $10 million, per jail records.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Ortiz is a Florida resident, with a history of prior arrests.

According to Florida state health records, Ortiz has been a licensed speech pathologist since 2024.

A Facebook profile appearing to belong to Ortiz features more than one post referencing Rihanna, including one from Feb. 23, in which she told the singer, “say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me.”

It is not clear if Ortiz has any personal connection to Rihanna.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to Rihanna’s home on Sunday, March 8, after reports that there were “shots fired.”

Per police, Ortiz allegedly parked her car outside the home and fired multiple shots before eventually fleeing the scene.

A source previously told PEOPLE an “AR-15 type rifle” was used and that the impacts “were mainly on the exterior gates and walls.”

Rihanna lives at the home with her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their three children, PEOPLE previously reported.

The pop star was home at the time of the shooting but no one was hurt.

“Even with a great security team in place, it’s scary to realize that something like this can still happen,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “Rihanna heard the shots, but was initially confused about what happened. She doesn’t understand why someone would target her family.”
