CREWS searching for Nancy Guthrie have resorted to cutting-edge technology that can locate her pacemaker from the skies.
A helicopter with a device attached has been spotted slowly moving across Tucson, Arizona, looking for a ping from the 84-year-old’s Bluetooth-enabled device.

The so-called signal sniffer is programmed to detect the unique address of Nancy’s pacemaker with a directional antenna, CBS affiliate KOLD reported.
Investigators hope it will sharpen the search near Nancy’s home, which has been made difficult by the rough, desert terrain peppered with cactus and sharp cliffs.
Fox News‘ Griff Jenkins took a ride on the chopper, and described the process as finding a needle in a haystack, pointing to the thousands of properties in Nancy’s neighborhood Catalina Hills.
While investigators are hoping to get a ping by flying the helicopter low to the ground, Morgan Wright, CEO and founder of the National Center for Open and Unsolved Cases, said they should be using drones.

WEEKS OF HELL
Nancy Guthrie update as cops hit back at ‘botched robbery’ kidnapping theory

‘TO BE CLEAR’
Nancy Guthrie sheriff forced to issue statement as son-in-law theories swirl
Despite searching for well over two weeks, authorities still haven’t been able to track down Nancy, who they fear was kidnapped from her bed on February 1.
They captured a masked suspect prowling outside her house on surveillance, but haven’t pinned down his identity.
On Monday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who is spearheading the search, ruled out Nancy’s family as suspects.
He was forced to release a statement after the mom’s son-in-law Tomasso Cioni attracted baseless criticism for being the last person to see her.Travis Kelce’s wild Taylor Swift wedding countdown with ever-more dramatic gifts
“The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case,” the sheriff said in a statement.
“To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, but it is also cruel.
“The Guthrie family are victims plain and simple […] please, I’m begging you the media to honor your profession and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism.”
Clues surface
Investigators confirmed the masked suspect was wearing a backpack and gun holster sold at Walmart, and experts say they’re likely combing through CCTV at stores in the area.
“The backpack and the holster are both very promising leads,” Betsy Smith of the National Police Association told The New York Post.
If the suspect paid with a card and was caught on camera at the self-checkout, cops could better traced his movements.
While more investigation details are coming to light, heartbroken Savannah continues to plead with her mom’s suspected kidnapper.
In her latest video shared on social media, she begged the suspect to do the right thing and tell them Nancy’s whereabouts.
“I wanted to say that to whoever has her or knows where she is, that it’s never too late,” said the anchor who has clung to her faith and prayers.

“And you’re not lost or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing.
“And we are here, and we believe in the essential goodness of every human being, and it’s never too late.”
