Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, remains missing after she was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona, home—and now, the FBI is investigating at least three unsubstantiated ransom notes.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 4, at least three media outlets reported that they received ransom notes this week demanding millions in bitcoin for Nancy’s return. They include TMZ as well as CNN Tucson affiliates KGUN and KOLD, CNN reported.

Today also offered the latest updates on the missing case of Nancy, 84. Savannah’s mother was last seen on the evening of Jan. 31 and was reported missing by her family on Feb. 1.

Sheinelle Jones filled in once again for Savannah amid her Today absence, and she reported on “two reports of ransom notes sent to news organizations.” Jones added, “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) says it is aware of those reports. But so far the notes have not been substantiated by any law enforcement agency.”

Additionally, the PCSD said in a statement, “We are taking all tips and leads very seriously.”

Prima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC correspondent Liz Kreutz, “The leads we’ve got coming are critical to us. They are valuable. And we’re sharing those with the FBI and others.”

Nanos added, “We have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here. She’s present. She’s alive. And we want to save her.”

On Feb. 1, the PCSD launched a search for Nancy, describing her as a “vulnerable adult” who was last seen at her home on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 31. The PCSD declared her Tucson home a crime scene on Feb. 2—revealing later that day that Nancy was “taken” from her residence “against her will,” in the middle of the night.

By Feb. 3, law enforcement sources revealed that blood and signs of forced entry were both discovered at Nancy’s home. DNA testing of evidence from the crime scene, however, could still take several more days.

Nancy remains missing, as of writing.
