The father of former Nickelodeon child star, Kianna Underwood, took to social media questioning whether his daughter was shown the “same compassion, as someone ran her over like roadkill?” in the wake of her tragic death yesterday.
Anthony Underwood posted to Facebook early this morning, penning his hopes that his daughter was treated with the same dignity and compassion as a fox he had previously seen hit on the road during a prior trip to the Catskill Mountains.
“So this one time, Tia Ynvme Taylor and I were in the Catskills and we saw this fox on the road. I could tell it had been hit,” he wrote.

“…I contemplated moving our car into the middle of the road so it wouldn’t get hit again. But before I could do anything someone came around the corner and didn’t slow down…so the driver hit ran over the fox.”
“I remember the horror I felt when I saw that…all I can think is did anyone show my baby the same compassion, as someone ran her over like roadkill? Did anyone try to comfort my baby as she layed dying in the street alone, or did they just stand around with their phones,” the father painfully questioned in the post that has garnered support from close family and friends.

Underwood’s death comes years after one of her former castmates issued a dire warning years before Kianna Underwood’s tragic death on Friday.
In a resurfaced video from November 2023, Bates issued a scathing plea for help from the cast of Nickelodeon’s hit show, ‘All That’ — and blasted Nickelodeon execs for not doing anything to help Underwood, according to TMZ.
Bates claimed that Underwood was struggling and homeless in New York and couldn’t understand why no one was stepping up to help the former child star.

“Like I said, she’s [Kianna Underwood] one of us and she needs help, but she’s not getting it…and nobody is speaking on Kianna Underwood. Nobody. But people are doing interviews making it very loud and clear that ‘I’ve got so and so’s back’ if they say they need anything,” she blasted in the video posted to social media.
While she didn’t directly call out anyone by name, Bates was visibly frustrated that those associated with the musical-comedy had turned a blind eye on those who needed help the most.

“I’m not understanding why nobody’s talking about it. I don’t understand why people are being selective with the help that they are giving when certain cast members are being very vocal when it comes to a certain cast member, when it comes to offering help. But she’s like literally one of the babies,” she said.
Underwood appeared in seven episodes of the final season of “All That” and featured in a number of television shows and movie productions between 1999 and 2005.
