A body has been found in the search for a university student who went missing after leaving a nightclub.
Connor Calleja, a 20-year-old Lincoln University student, was last seen on CCTV walking along University Bridge, Lincoln, in the early hours of Sunday morning. He had been denied entry to the nightclub Home and was attempting to make his way back to his accommodation, Connor’s stepdad John Lewis previously said.
In a tragic update today, Lincolnshire Police said a body had been found during a search of the Foss bank – a body of water near The Brayford Pool. A spokesperson for the force said: “While formal identification has yet to take place, we believe this to be the body of 20-year-old Connor.”

The University of Lincoln and Lincoln Students’ Union had previously said they would support students affected by Connor’s disappearance.
