BARCELONA, SPAIN — In the days leading up to his death, American student Jimmy Gracey reportedly told his family he did not feel safe — a warning that, in hindsight, is now drawing renewed scrutiny as investigators reexamine the circumstances surrounding his final hours.
Gracey’s death was initially described as an accident after his body was recovered from the water following a night out. But accounts from those closest to him suggest a troubling shift in his behavior before that night — one that may no longer be possible to ignore.
